The Balearic Islands (Ibiza, Mallorca, Menorca, and Formentera - not all are shown on the map) are a province of Spain.
The PM (Palma de Mallorca) prefix was in use between 1927 and 1996.
The IB (Islas Baleares) prefix was used between 1997 and 2000.
Since 2000, plates are in the standard Spanish format with the Euroband on the left and a "0000 AAA" serial.
