There are at least three groups claiming to be the "Southern Cherokee" Nation one of which is in Oklahoma. They are not recognized by the state.
About 100 license plates were manufactured and a portion of them was issued. However, as they are not recognized their issuance has been discontinued. A portion was sold to collectors. The "RM" prefix stood for "Registered Member".
